What is an MLE?
A Managed Learning Environment (MLE) is a software system designed to deliver educational and training courses supplied by teachers or trainers to their students. Key services that MLE's provide, include:
Access control
Provision of e-learning content
Communication tools
Administration of user groups

In addition, MLE's can support multiple courses, enabling students and instructors in a given organisation (and, indeed, across multiple sites and organisations) to enjoy a seamless experience within a familiar framework when subscribing to more than one course.
