Can Simplylearn help my training company?
The likelihood is yes it can. In most cases, Simplylearn will be able to deliver most, if not all, of your courses. For aspects such as a practical examination or task, Simplylearn will form an integral part of a blended solution.
Can I convert my existing courses to work on Simplylearn?
The short answer is that Simplylearn will accommodate most types of course although this does depend on the format of your existing course. If you are concerned that your existing software might not translate easily across to Simplylearn, call our technical team on 01543 264929 who will be happy to help you determine the best way forward.
Will I be able to include Flash video in my course?
Yes. Simplylearn has been purposely written to ensure that it can stream Flash Movies, which can be embedded within your course.
Do I just send you my course or do I have to add it myself?
It's entirely up to you. If you'd like to author a course yourself then you can, using Simplylearn's integrated course building facility. If you'd rather not undertake building your course, or there are aspects of it that require animation, video, simulations or interactions and you're not comfortable tackling these, talk to us. We offer a course building service and other new media based services that mean that we can manage the process for you. Call us on 01543 264929 to find out more.
How will I know if my students are working on the course?
Simplylearn is equipped with extensive tutor and administration facilities. These enable you to find out about your students, how long they have spent on your course, how much and which content they have covered and how they have performed in any assessments. Administrators can generate tailored course reports at any time. These can be viewed within the browser or exported as a CSV file for statistical analysis elsewhere.
If I buy a batch of licences, how long do they last for?
A batch of licenses remains valid for 12 months. At any point during this time, user licenses can be initiated, these last between 1 and 12 months.
Can anybody else see my course?
The only people that have access to your course are the author, administrator(s), tutor(s) and registered students. Only those with an active license for your course can access it.
Can other students see how I'm getting on with the course?
No, only tutors and administrators have access to that information.
I wish to start building my course - how do I go about it?
Firstly you will need to sign and return a copy of our contract along with the initial course hosting fee of £450. If your course is bigger than the entry level course the remaining balance will need to be paid prior to course launch. You will then need to register on Simplylearn. Once you have registered, the deposit is paid and both parties have signed and received a copy of the contract your course will be set up. This process should take no more than 3-4 working days. Talk to one of our advisors for further help.
Will my course be accessible from my website?
We can provide your web developer with the relevant code to include on your site to enable your customers to log in. In addition if you intend to integrate the registration process with your own online payment system we can supply the code and advise on the appropriate approach.
Can I brand the system?
Yes. There are currently two levels of branding - course and system wide. System wide branding allows you to brand. See our additional system options page for more information.
Can I republish courses?
A key feature of Simplylearn is that you can republish an existing course and contextualise it. This effectively allows you to rapidly create bespoke versions of a master course and customize according to the needs of your customer. In addition, you can make any necessary modifications, for instance a change to standard legislative content, to the master course and it will automatically change for all of its associated republished courses.
